Drawing Seafood Dishes Using Affinity Photo (with Bevel/Emboss) vs. Affinity Designer (Without Bevel/Emboss)

I was hesitant to use Affinity Designer since I preferred pixel-based art. I don't like using the vector crop too. However, I decided to compare two versions. One was drawn with Affinity Photo last year. The other was drawn with Affinity Designer. Let's look at the results.

The prawns

Affinity Photo doesn't have that much capacity to handle isometric-based drawing. You might be able to tell that I wasn't able to estimate ot well.

On the other hand, Affinity Designer's use of the isometric persona can be tough, but focused. I was thinking of several ways to draw without relying on Bevel/Emboss to make it look good. However, I'd grade this quality as rather elementary

The crab

Here's one of my old art which I created using Affinity Photo. Affinity Photo's crop tool makes me say, "I'll just clip away the canvas later." The same couldn't be said for Affinity Designer though.

I created this art today. I decided to make the crab bigger and fatter. I added some "extra detail" to the eyes and the crab's body. However, I'd still consider it elementary--an activity that a child could do after they've learned the fundamentals of Affinity Photo/Designer. I could've created this duing Affinity Photo too.
