Having Fun Art With This White Pomeranian Picture
Here's a white pomeranian (owner unknown), as I got this photo from Wikimedia Commons. I decided to have fun with this dog. Now, it's time to have fun with this picture using Affinity Photo.
I decided to create a hologram based on the picture. The secret isn't rocket science. All it takes is do the following:
- Duplicate the image twice.
- For the second layer, go to Channels, right click on Background Red, and turn it off. Set the opacity to 50%.
- For the third layer, go to Channels and turn off Background Green and Background Blue. Set the opacity to 50%.
- Select both layers and set them to Lighten.
- Select the next two layers together, hold Shift, and press right once or twice. In this case, I pressed right twice.
After this, I decided to "laminate" the hologram with a lenticular texture. You can find them online. I used a free lenticular photo. One could either stretch it out or produce multiple copies then make them into one sheet. It's a trial-and-error process. The end result is that one gets something similar to a ceral box hologram. Just don't expect me to do a tutorial on a lenticular photo!
It's obvious that I decided to "dye him pink". Instead, I'd like to joke that this dog ate too much cotton candy and became pink. I could've chosen other colors. Instead, coloring the dog pink was funnier.
Here's turning the picture into a painting. For the steps, you may want to visit The Creative Hagja website.
