Remembering the Time I Learned Affinity Photo to Draw Simpler Food Art (Cheese and Bread)
I have good reasons to ditch Adobe Photoshop, even before I installed it. I was still able to use it without the subscription fee, on an old PC. I was spoiled by too many customized shapes on Adobe Photoshop. However, Affinity Photo actually got me to realize that using Boolean operations can be good. I got the curves I wanted. I was initially hesitant to use Affinity Designer, which I also learned to use.
I would like to share my super low beginnings with these art...
I remember when I didn't see the frames that Photoshop had. I started to experiment with creating frames using the subtract function. Converting shapes into curves was the beginning of my new casual art. I started drawing these around last year. One can see the evidence of my art at its juvenile state.
The reason why I didn't go for Affinity Designer too soon was this--it was because I wanted to crop off unwanted areas for the final product.
